The Core Team of the Youth and Young Adult Outreach Initiative held its inaugural meeting on Monday July 13, 2020 following enthusiastic discussions at a Sunday Morning Fellowship Hour.

We are indeed grateful to the parishioners, who initiated the discussions in support of honing the skills of our congregation to provide support for the youths and young adults of our parish and community.

We also thank those who contributed to the Fellowship Hour discussions and subsequent group meetings that helped us to develop and implement a plan.

At the first Core Team Meeting we shared our collective vision, goals, and discussed initial plans toward achieving our goals. We decided to focus on supporting the youth and young adults of St. Gabriel’s as a short-term goal, with the intent of expanding to the wider community as we become somewhat grounded in our initiative.

We then incorporated our thoughts, skill sets, interests, and intentions with those of parishioners, to establish an interconnected model of spiritual, emotional, educational, social and financial attributes to guide our plans.
