APPLICATION FOR THE BURNETT, ROBINSON, AND WILKINSON
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 2024
The Brooklyn Assembly of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew is pleased to inform you of its 2024 scholarship awards to college-bound graduating high school students in the Archdeaconry of Brooklyn. The three awards, each worth One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) are named in honor of Brothers Eustace Burnett, Cecil Robinson and Cecil Wilkinson.
The applicant wishing to be considered must (1) Be a member in good standing of a parish of the Episcopal Church in the Archdeaconry of Brooklyn; and an active member of at least one organization in the church. (2a) Submit two letters of recommendation: one from the Rector, and the other from an organization in the church. These letters will serve as verification of the applicant’s membership and active participation in the life of the parish. (2b) Briefly describe his/her extracurricular activities within and/or outside the church and provide names or references from the organization(s) with which he/she is affiliated. (3) Be a graduating senior or have graduated from high school during the current (2023 - 2024) academic year. (4) Have a grade point average of eighty percent (80%) or higher. A copy of the applicant’s high school transcript must be submitted as part of the application package. (5) Submit verification that he/she has been accepted by a college or university. (6) Submit an essay describing his/her role in or special contribution to the organization(s) or projects described in (2b).

Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. The decision of the Education Committee is final.
